“We left knowing the reason why we support the Magpies. It was basically like exploring our family tree.” - Randall Petersen.
“We had a very enjoyable three hour historical tour around the Collingwood Football Club area. Saw the pub where the players used to get changed and run over to the ground, stood where the "Colliwobbles" is buried, and lots of other memorable places. Gary has a wealth of knowledge about the Club and was very informative. Would recommend to anyone who has a love of The Pies." - Mary & Daniel Collins.
“Incredible amount of info on the history of the Magpies and also the suburb from which it came from.” - Jeff Tyson.
“It’s like taking a walk through history, VFA/VFL/AFL and Collingwood history. Well presented, very informative. An enjoyable and interesting walk through the suburb of Collingwood with relevant factual content. Would recommend the tour to everyone, and more importantly pies supporters!!!" - Damon & Andrea Grave. Adelaide, SA.
"Just a short note to Gary to say thank you for the very informative and interesting tour of the history of the Collingwood Football Club. We will certainly be recommending it to our Collingwood friends.” - Rob Collins.

“History is integral to everyone who wants to know why they do the things they do. The Collingwood Footy Tour is especially important as it gives its walkers the chance to find out why their blood is black and white. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again. We have now fallen in love with the history of our great club, and have a list of Magpie history books we are trawling through. Sidebyside."

“It was wonderful to take our 30 year-old son – and for him to hear what is was like for us growing up in those times (good and bad). My 71 year-old mum wishes she was young enough to do the walk now!”

“We did the tour in August, on cold, windy and sometimes wet afternoon. The song ‘Grey Skies over Collingwood’ was stuck in my head for some reason! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and found Gary to be a knowledgeable and good tour guide. The highlight of the tour was an inadvertent detour thanks to “Clanger” (publican of the Yarra Hotel in Johnston St), who allowed us to see the first ever change rooms used by Collingwood players behind the pub. Overall the tour was very interesting and Gary imparted his knowledge readily, and to finish up on Victoria Park was great way to end up the afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended!”

“My husband and I renewed our membership the next day – as it reminded us why we first started barracking for the Woods.” - Michelle Richards. Perth, WA.
"We had a marvellous day starting with this tour. We were loaded with great facts and anecdotes about the Club, its people and the local surrounds. Gary was a lot of fun and his passion for the subject was obvious! My group was made up of not just Pies supporters and although they supported other teams they loved the tour anyway, they didn't quite jump the fence to our side but we don't want them anyway! Plus we got a free game of VFL after the tour and smashed Geelong and then onto the MCG to see the Pies win in a tight one against the Eagles. A great day all round! Thanks Gary!!" - Adrian Booker. Melbourne, VIC.
"Delicious. Centremetre perfect." - Kaz, Sam (Coach), Tim, & Charlie from the Kick To Kick Podcast.
